What It Is:
This is a mixed skills word study check-up worksheet. It contains five parts: synonyms, where students write a synonym for given words like 'friend' and 'filthy'; antonyms, where students write an antonym for similar words; verbs, where students choose the correct verb form to complete sentences; subjects and predicates identification, where students underline the subject and circle the predicate in each sentence; and subjects and predicates in complete sentences, where students add a missing subject or predicate to complete a sentence and rewrite it.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for grades 3-5. The vocabulary and grammar concepts covered, such as synonyms, antonyms, verb tenses, and subject/predicate identification, are typically introduced and reinforced in these grade levels. The complexity of the sentences is also appropriate for this age range.
